|Songs of The Vineyard
This little book of meditations on Isaiah is about history, past, present and future. It is about people, Jews and Gentiles, it is about God and our relationship to Him. It is a book of judgment and apocalyptic themes as well as care and restoration. It is a book of facts, and principles that can be applied to our lives. It is my hope and prayer that it will stimulate your heart, mind and soul to seek out the Word of God to have an even closer relationship with Christ.

This a very useful devotional for studying the book of Isaiah and better understanding our Lord and Savior. It is enjoyable to read and easy to understand. It is also very introspective and educational. It is evident the author has truly studied and understands God's word. I think this book would make a really good gift.

Short and pithy and still gives you something to think about. There is something in every chapter for every one no matter where they are in their walk with the Lord.
Nourishment for the Soul, By Peter Chadwick (Atlanta, GA)
I have read many books by people who have more degrees than a thermometer and they do well with their intellect and their in-depth studies. However, Russell Lambert speaks to the "everyman" in all of us. He breaks down the scriptures to bite size pieces and allows us to chew on God's word without being overwhelmed. I thoroughly enjoy the daily nibbling on our Lord's snacks with Brother Lambert. He has found a wonderful way to show others to "taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him." - Psalm 34:8.
Best short meditation on Isaiah that I have ever read. By Anonymous (Colorado Springs, CO)
This book has the best meditations on Isaiah that I have ever read. The chapter titles are catching and provide an insight into the content of that meditation. The meditations on each chapter in Isaiah are a great overview of that chapter in the Bible.

Songs of the Vineyard - Sixty Six Meditations on Isaiah by Russell C. Lambert is a solid devotional that will engage its readers and challenge them to deepen their relationship with Christ. Russell's easy read mediations often presents a historical and future perspective regarding Israel - God chosen people and nation, and then applies the timeless applications to everyday living. I read a chapter in Isaiah each day then used the devotional to add further insight and wisdom. Songs of the Vineyard will encourage and challenge most readers who desire to grow in their relationship with Christ. The only improvement I would like to see is the biblical text in the "New King James Version" and not the King James. I believe that this would draw a younger generation to the book.
